About Me
I’ve been visiting and eating in Paris for over 17 years. I lived in France for six years (5 in Paris, 1 near Beaujolais). While I’m currently based in the U.S. (for the moment), I travel to Paris 3-4 times a year, including a month or two in the summer, so I remain committed to eating with fervor in this glorious city of food.
I hosted an award-winning TV series about eating in Paris called “A Parisian Food Affair with Julie Neis” on Recipe.TV, which was a bit of a dream.
I also partnered with Bloomsbury Publishing (of Harry Potter fame) on a book called “Eat Like a Local”. They had to make some of my words more British-sounding, but I was ok with it. They did not ask me to write a Paris food version of Harry Potter, but I feel the ask is coming soon.
I’m Julie Neis, and I hereby declare my undying love for all things Paris, food, and wine (especially natural wine). If that’s you, too, then I hope you’ll take a look around to learn about the best places to eat in Paris. Bon app!
